A full day with Rousay Tours
Martin and Vivian at Rousay Tours run full-day history and archaeology tours, and can put together a tour around your interests. They tell the stories behind the places you visit. We really recommend them if you’d like to learn more about Rousay.
Their Rousay Revealed tour follows the road around the island. It takes in key archaeological sites and explains how people lived here through the centuries.
You can reach Martin and Vivian at rousaytours@gmail.com or 07788 414254. They can help with dates, group size, what you’d like to see, and where the tour starts and finishes.
A tour around your interests
You might be interested in Neolithic tombs, more recent island history or local stories. The guides can talk through the options, including tours with children or anyone with mobility needs. Some sites have steep, uneven paths.
Our Rousay archaeology guide has ideas for places to visit, and the Heritage Centre at the pier is a good introduction. There’s plenty to see on your own as well as on a tour.
Other places to visit
You’ll find information about Trumland House Gardens on Visit Rousay.
Our cottages are on a working farm. We don’t offer farm tours or organised animal visits.
